Passport and visa requirements vary for each country. These requirements are for travelers holding a U.S. Passport. If you hold a passport from any other country, you will need to check with the embassy or consulate for each country into which you are traveling.

Europe
If you are traveling to any of these countries and you hold a U.S. Passport, then no visa is needed. However, your passport must be valid for 6 months after your scheduled return.

If you are traveling to Turkey, a visa is required. As of 11 April 2014, all visas must be purchased prior to arrival at http://www.evisa.gov.tr. For more information, contact http://www.evisa.gov.tr.
Visas are required for all US citizens to enter Israel and Jordan. Please allow sufficient processing time. Check with the embassies for the exact requirements and procedures.

Central & South America
If you are traveling to any of these countries and you hold a U.S. Passport, your passport will need to be valid for 6 months after your scheduled return date. Some countries also require a visa and may charge a departure or arrival tax. If you hold a passport from any other country, you will need to check with the embassy/consulate for each country you are traveling for the exact requirements.

Argentina - Visa not required. As of March 24, 2016 the Argentine Government has resolved to suspend the collection of the reciprocity fee from US passport holders who visit our country for less than 90 days, for tourist or business purposes.
Chile - Visa not required.
Costa Rica - Visa not required. Must have round trip airline ticket. Departure tax of $26 to be paid upon departure.
Ecuador - Visa not required. No entry or departure tax.
Panama - Visa not required. No entry or departure tax.
Peru - Visa not required. No entry or departure tax.
Brazil - Visa required. No entry or departure tax.

Africa

Egypt - Visa is required. Tourists holding a U.S. Passport can obtain a renewable 30-day tourist visa on arrival at an Egyptian airport for a $15 fee, payable in U.S. dollars.
*** NOTE *** For travel after 15 May 2015, Egypt Visas must be obtained prior to travel. Visa information can be found at http://www.egyptembassy.net/consular-services/passports-travel/visa-requirements. Please note your passport must be valid at least 6 months after your return.
Morocco - Visa is not required
South Africa - Visa is not required. Starting 1 Oct 2014, new regulations will take affect for children traveling to South Africa regardless if both parents are traveling or not. Visit the Consular: Civic and Immigration Services for more information.
Asia
If you are traveling to any of these countries and you hold a U.S. Passport, your passport will need to be valid for 6 months after your scheduled return date. Some countries will also require a visa. Thailand - Visa not requried for stays shorter than 30 days
Vietnam - Visa is required. This Visa must be obtained before travel. Please visit the Vietnam Consulate for more information.
South Pacific
